-
Last entry for the sauna is 1 hour before closing for a maximum of 20 minutes.
-

Sauna Do's:
-
Be quiet - Public saunas are a place for silence. This is a calm, quiet and relaxing room. If you're carrying on a conversation with a friend, do so as quietly as possible.
-
Consume plenty of fluid – Drink water before entering the sauna, due to the temperature and humidity you will likely sweat a lot. To avoid dehydration, drink plenty of water.
-
Get in and out quickly - Leaving the door open will let the heat out. Close the door as quickly as possible when entering or leaving the sauna.
-
Bring your own towels - It’s hygienic and will create a comfortable buffer between your skin and the hot wood. You want one to wear, one to sit or lay on, d. Bring another towel to dry off once you leave. (Only bring the first two into the sauna--leave the other outside where it's dry)
-
Behave - You're in a public place, so treat the room and everyone in it with respect.
-
Shower first - This will get rid of any bad body odours, bacteria, and sweat. You want to enter the sauna clean.
-
Dress appropriately - Leave the towel on, wear a bathing suit or wear light clothing.
-
Ask first – When you pour water on the sauna’s heated rocks, it creates a powerful burst of hot and soothing steam, however some people may not like it so please ask permission before pouring water. You need unanimous consent for this.
-
Tie it up - If you have long hair, tie it up into a knot for comfort. It also avoids shedding hairs for other people to find.
-
Make room – If there is no one else in the sauna, feel free to lay down on the bench, but as soon as more people enter, sit up and make room for others.
-
Keep it tidy – It is your responsibility you clean up after yourself and make sure the sauna is left in a good condition for the next member.
Sauna Don'ts:
-
Eat - Do not eat before or during your sauna session.
-
Wear workout attire - Do not enter directly after your workout in the same attire.
-
Over-water the rocks - If you put too much water onto the rocks, you can fill the room with excessive heat and make it uncomfortable for others in the room. Ask if they want more heat/steam before splashing water.
-
Use essential oils - The sauna is a small and warm space, do not use any perfumes or pour any essential oils on yourself or on the rocks, this can be very unpleasant to those who have allergies or suffer from asthma.
-
Bring your electronics - Not only will they be damaged by the heat and steam, but you will disturb your fellow sauna-goers if you start chatting, texting, or playing games.
-
Play Music - Reduce the sound of your earphones, be mindful of those around you who may not appreciate your music.
-
Work out - The sauna is a place to relax and sit, not to grunt and groan. DO NOT work out in the sauna.
-
Shave/Groom - The sauna is NOT a place to brush your hair, brush your teeth, or shave.
-
Relax too much - Groaning, sighing, or moaning will disturb everyone around you. You need to prevent your relaxation from affecting everyone else's.
-
Treat the sauna as a clothes dryer - The sauna stove is for producing heat and steam, not for drying outfits.
Avoid sauna if:
-
You are pregnant.
-
If you suffer from heart/kidney conditions, high/low blood pressure.
-
